Bio's

Charles G. Tate III

Mr. Tate is a co-founder and serves as the CEO of BearHill Security. Prior to BearHill he was a co-founder of Source Technology, a leading systems integrator and technical consulting organization. Principle duties include management of Operations, Finance. Source Technology's customers consist of more than 1,200 NSP clients who rely on Source Technology for network design, technical support as well as hardware and software procurement.

Mr. Tate was also the founder of Tate’s Specialty Manufacturing (1985-1994), a company that made custom advertising products for three of the top ten largest pharmaceutical companies (Pfizer, Merck Sharp and Dohme, and Upjohn) to help launch new drugs into the market space. These specialty-advertising products were an essential component of various multi-million dollar advertising and promotion campaigns.

Charles Tate also founded and operated Tate's Donut Management from 1989 to 1993 - a company that owned and operated 11 Mr. Donut shops with more than 300 employees in Rhode Island.

 

Timothy F. Kery

Mr. Kery is a co-founder and Vice President of Business Development of BearHill Security. Prior to BearHill he was Vice President of US Sales for Westcon, Inc., a global channel provider of leading networking technology products and a division of the $1.9 Billion Westcon Group. In this role, Mr. Kery led a $300 million 68 person organization consisting of sales, pre-sales engineering, training, and customer support teams calling on 5000 high-end reseller and integrator partners.

Prior to leading the sales effort at Westcon Mr. Kery was the Director of Product Management where he led a product management team tasked with building channel businesses for vendors such as Nortel, Lucent, US Robotics, ArrowPoint, PictureTel, Prominet, and New Oak. His efforts resulted in the addition of over 800 new partners and an average annual sales growth of 89% over a five-year period.

Tim Kery is a member of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) an organization whose goal is to promote management practices that will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information resources and a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and Foundation (ISACA).

 

Kent Claussen

Mr. Claussen is a co-founder and serves as Chief Technology Officer of BearHill. Prior to BearHill Security he founded CCS; a 12-year-old consulting firm focused on Network Service Providers and Banking institutions in the mid-western United States. CCS's NSP focus is on Network Design, Backbone Architecture, and Capacity Planning. In the banking industry, Kent Claussen has been focused on consulting on Internet security, Internet banking and FDIC Security Audits. CCS's clients include several regional banks, cable companies as well as DLECs, ILECs and CLECs.

Kent received his BA in Computer Science and a BS degree in Agricultural Business at Iowa State University. He then received his masters in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. His thesis was titled; A Neural Network Based Soybean Complex Trading Model. Neural networks are a form of artificial intelligence, and are modeled in a way that mimics the operation of the biological nervous system or biological brain. The research for this thesis involved the retrieval and compilation of more than a billion pieces of data from historical commodity price database leading to highly accurate forecasts.
